My flower budget this week was quite low. In fact it was “find the cheapest flowers possible.” I still wanted flowers but since we are going snowboarding this weekend I wanted to also save for the trip. That meant I picked up a less expensive little flower: carnations!
They were on special for $2 for a bunch with half in bloom and the rest still waiting.
In the day since I got them a few more have opened up halfway and they are actually quite adorable. I love the mix of pinks – it actually inspired me to wear pinks today and I’m feeling quite cheerful because of it.
Surprisingly a tiny bunch of carnations goes a long way in making my day happier. They might not be the flashiest or prettiest or best smelling flowers, but they do their job well!
