Some parts of wedding planning aren’t fun. Some parts are boring.
Addresses collection falls into the category of boring wedding tasks. It’s necessary but boring. And I keep putting it off for that last reason. Instead of contacting friends and family to get their information (of which I had about five people’s already) I’m procrastinating. I’m checking my email. I’m writing this blog post. I’m putting it off as much as I can.
Why can’t I just send save the dates and invites via Facebook? Oh, ettiquette? What’s that?
Gr. We aren’t doing very much that’s traditional with our wedding, yet one thing we must do is send out proper (or, at least physical) invites. Kepa has already designed them and they look amazing. Everyone I’ve shown is excited about them. They are perfectly fitting for us and I’m excited to mail them. But I have to actually have people’s addresses to do that. Bugger.
I’m starting to think the boring wedding tasks outweigh the fun ones. Apparently the boring ones last for months before and then all the fun ones come on the wedding day. That’s just silly.
But no more procrastinating. I promised I would at least contact people to get their information by the end of this week and it’s already Thursday.
Time to get to work.

Oh hey, btw, I’m now an affiliate with The Knot’s online wedding shop.
So if you are bride planning like me and plan on buying some favors or other wedding supplies via their website then considering visiting via my link? Signing up via my link or purchasing something will add a few cents to the wedding fund. You know, just if you are planning on it. :)
Right. Back to work. :)

P.S. more not-fun wedding tasks include figuring out the timeline for the day, transportation, and I hear the seating arrangement is not exactly a picnic. Oh and then there’s the “figure out how to not go into debt over this thing” but I know you know about that! I try to space that stuff out with looking at hair accessories on etsy to break up the yucky parts.
Oh, don’t remind me! LOL. I’m not looking forward to doing all those tasks either.
Timeline is easy!
Arrive.
Get married.
Eat.
Leave.
Boom, done!
Seating arrangement is easy!
We sit (here).
Everyone else (there).
Boom, done! ;)

We sent out an email. :) It was pretty and nicely designed, but in the end it was just an email. Still… my Mom printed it out and decoupaged it onto a heart-shaped board.
