About

Hey! Welcome to my wedding blog!

My name is Mary. I’m a blogger/writer/crafty girl originally from Franklin, Tennessee who now resides in Memphis, Tennessee.

I love the internet. I work for a Memphis web design company and I write several other blogs.

I’ve been blogging for years and along the way I met another blogger, Kepa. We became friends, then more, and eventually we fell in love through video chats and phone calls.

I visited Kepa in his native New Zealand in January 2010 after months of “dating” virtually. It rocked and so did our relationship. We spent a few more months apart which sucked, but he then visited me in the USA and we spent a month road-tripping across the US visiting friends and family.

On July 28, 2010 Kepa proposed, and I said YES!

We’ve lived together and separately (on different continents, mind you) during the engagement and wedding planning. Despite the distance and the problems we grew to love each other more.

We were married October 15, 2011 in a friend’s backyard in a casual, fun wedding ceremony that fit us perfectly. The wedding took a lot of work from us and our community but it was truly one of the best days ever.

I’m still blogging here about weddings, crafts, diy projects, life in Memphis, and thoughts on weddings and marriage.

Thank you for visiting!

I love this little wedding blog. And you’re making me jealous! (I secretly want to get married but neither my boyfriend nor I are religious in the least so he dosen’t really see the point….). Maybe someday, though :). I think whether its for religious reasons or not, weddings are just an awesome celebration of your relationship and love, a big show of commitment for each other.
Good luck with all the planning from afar :)

Amanda a wedding is not solely religious these days… it’s a contract, but mostly a ceremony to celebrate your commitment made public, to all, that you’ll be 2gether forever… sooo… I see every reason to get married.. have a blast! Just do it…

And you can so go the non-traditional way…

@ the blogger, get Married on Aruba :) :P
